WHAT IS SOCIETY?
A human society is a group of

people involved in persistent


interpersonal relationships, or a
large social grouping sharing
the same geographical or social
territory, typically subject to the
same political authority and
dominant cultural expectations.

Ecology

is the study of environmental

systems, or as it is sometimes
called, the economy of nature.
"Environmental" usually means
relating to the natural, versus
human-made world; the
"systems" means that ecology is,
by its very nature, not interested
in just the components of nature
individually but especially in how
the parts interact.

Governance
refers to "all processes of governing,

whether undertaken by a
government, market or network,
whether over a family, tribe, formal or
informal organization or territory and
whether through laws, norms, power
or language.
It relates to "the processes of
interaction and decision-making
among the actors involved in a
collective problem that lead to the
creation, reinforcement, or
