One evening, while Afiq was walking home from the library, he passed a lonely path near Encik Samad's orchard. Afiq was very surprised to see three men behaving suspiciously. They were collecting durians in the orchard. They were loading and putting the fruits into a small truck. ‘Afig knew Encik Samad was away visiting his mother who was sick in Kampung Cendana. He hid quietly behind a tree and listened to their conversation. He realised that they were trouble makers from his village. Then he crept away and ran back to the village. He alerted Pak Mail, the village headman. Pak Mail gathered a few men and they rushed to the orchard. They caught the thieves who were trying to get away with the durians. Pak Mail then called Encik Samad and the police. After a short while, two policemen arrived in a patrol car. They took the thieves to the police station.
