a. Topic/Technology
O I want to teach first grade and I think

an important topic is addition. I know

that I can integrate technology into
the topic as well. The technology I
would use is the iPad, computer, and
promethean board. Having these
technologies in the classroom is a
great advantage because students
can be learning while also learning
how to use the technology
appropriately.

Technology: The teacher

knows how to use the
iPad, computer, and
Promethean board.
Pedagogy: The teacher
knows the material and
knows how to teach it to
the students.
Content: The teacher
knows the subject that
they are teaching.

Technology: The teacher

needs to learn how to teach
the students to use the
technology.
Pedagogy: The teacher
must learn how to teach
the students by their grade
level.
Content: The teacher must
take it slow so the students
can comprehend the
subject.

c. What must be learned

For the column of what must be learned I would
introduce the students to the technologies that I
would be using in the classroom to teach the topic. I
would have to teach the students how to use them
appropriately so I would teach a few a day at a time. I
would expand it by a week or so to teach them
addition on the Promethean board and let them play
games. It is important for teachers to take their time
while teaching an important subject.

d. Ideal Classroom
O The ideal classroom consists of the

appropriate technology and teaching

the students how to use it. I would
make it a fun and exciting classroom
while teaching addition to the students.
It is important to have enthusiasm
while teaching and I would do that by
using the Promethean board for whole
group activities and the iPad and
computer for small group activities.
