SHRI PRAKASH GOSSAI FOUNDATION OF NEW YORK MAKES

DONATION TO THE PRABHU SHARAN CHILDRENS HOME.

On Wednesday July 1st 2015, the Shri Prakash Chand Gossai Vidya
Foundation of New York made a significant donation of clothing
and books to the children of the Prabhu Sharan Childrens Home
at Cornelia Ida on the West Coast of Demerara.
The timely donation by the foundation was as a result of the
vision of the late Pandit Shri Prakash Gossai, a Hindu missionary
and also a spiritual teacher to thousands of Hindus in Guyana and
around the world, profoundly believed that love and compassion
are universal principles and it is the innate responsibility of all,
irrespective of religion, and race to aid in the perpetuation of such
noble principles.
The late Shri Prakash Chand Gossai had a special place in his
heart for children. He believed that the foundation of any
formidable, morally sound and spiritually inclined society depends
largely on the provision of adequate and timely resources for
children.
Pandit Arun Gossai, and sister, Pratiksha Gossai, Bankim Gossai
and Danny Basil, principals of the Shri Prakash Chand Gossai
Vidya Foundation, the New York Chapter, were extremely
privileged to make this humble donation and rekindling the many
great ideals their father, brother and spiritual teacher propagated
during his work as a Hindu missionary.
Pandit Arun Gossai asserted this is the beginning of many great
initiatives to follow in the near future in Guyana across all ethnic,
religious and social sectors.
The Prabhu Sharan Childrens home has been in existence for the
last ten years and has been providing a safe and comfortable
home for orphans and vulnerable for children.

The home currently has 23 children, the youngest being three

years old and the eldest being seventeen years old.
