"is De ae ee THE STARS Ted Neeley (jesus) starred in the title role in Norman Jewison’s motion picture Jesus Christ Superstar, for which he received Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Actor and Best Newcomer. A singer, actor and composer, Mr. Neeley appeared in both the Broadway and Los Angeles companies of Superstar and Hair, as well as the stage production of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band in New York and Tommy in Los Angeles. He composed music for and appeared in Robert Altman's film A Perfect Couple, and was also seen in “A Touch of Gold” with Ray Charles, and the NBC Movies “Of Mice and Men” and. “McClaren’s Riders.” Mr. Neeley composed and performed the music for the Tri-Star feature film Blame It On The Night, NBC-' Highway to Heaven,” and “The Big Blue Marble” for the Children’s Television Network. He also wrote the music for and starred in Cowboy Jack Street at the Mark Taper Forum Lab in Los Angeles. Currently focusing on writing and producing, Mr. Neeley is working in collaboration with his long-time friend and music partner Pepper Martin, writing and recording songs for their new country music album. In addition, Mr. Neeley has written and is now developing his new musical work Pandemonium for the Broadway stage. Carl Anderson (judas) appeared as Judas in both the Broadway production and motion picture of Jesus Christ Superstar. An Emmy Award winner, Mr. Anderson is a two-time Golden Globe nominee, and has also been nominated for an NAACP Image Award. In addition to his work as an actor in movies such as The Color Purple, he has been seen on television's “Hill Street Blues” and “Cop Rock.” He appeared on the daytime drama “Days of Our Lives” and recorded a love theme with Gloria Loring that became the Billboard Magazine Number One single, “Friends and Lovers.” As a recording artist, Mr. Anderson has sung with Nancy Wilson (on the Grammy-nominated “Forbidden Lover”), Weather Report, and Maynard Ferguson and The Rippingtons. His two albums for GRP Records, “Pieces of the Heart” and “Fantasy Hotel,” are among the hottest ‘AC/R&B albums released in the past two years. His singles “How Deep Does It Go” and “Once In A Lifetime Love’ have risen to the top of the charts in their worldwide releases.
