Dear Sir/ Madam,

A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road Construction Work Invitation to Hazel Grove Drop in
Session, Wednesday 15th July
As you will be aware, an increasing amount of construction activity associated with the A6 to
Manchester Airport Relief Road (A6MARR) is taking place in your area. To ensure that you are kept
informed about the works, we would like to invite you to a drop in session where you can meet with
representatives of the A6MARR project team from Carillion Morgan Sindall and Stockport Council to
find out more and discuss any concerns you may have about the works. The details of the event are
as follows:
Date: Wednesday 15th July
Time: 2.30pm to 7.30pm
Venue: Hazel Grove Civic Hall, London Road, Stockport, SK7 4DF
By way of update in advance of the meeting, the following works will be undertaken in this area
taking place over the coming weeks:
Top soil excavation has begun in the vicinity of Macclesfield Road. Once the top soil is
stripped it will be taken to the storage area on Mill Lane;
Excavation works will then commence to enable the construction of noise bunds in this area;
An access track to Old Mill Hill will be formed ready for use when we commence works in
this area.
We will work to minimise noise and disruption caused by the works and thank you for your patience
and understanding during this time.
We hope that you are able to attend the drop in session. In the meantime, further information about
the A6MARR construction works can be found online at
http://www.semmms.info/a6marr_construction/. If you have any questions about the scheme,
please do not hesitate to contact us, either by calling 0161 474 2055 or emailing
semmms.relief.road@stockport.gov.uk.
Yours faithfully,

A6MARR Project Team
