Home Automation
Home automation is a part on building
automation.
This includes controlling electrical appliances
and equipment automatically.
Automation may be achieved with a
centralized control system for all equipment,
or with individual control of equipment, or
remote control.
3
Remote Controlling
Remote controlling in a home automation system is to
control the equipment at home without reaching the
equipment.
Remote controlling may include; access the equipment
functions, monitor status of the equipment, change the
equipment status, etc.
To realize a remote control, there must be a
communication medium, either wired or wireless or
combination of both.
Wireless control is the cost effective method of
communication, so we utilize Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi Socket
The Wi-Fi socket is designed to access via
internet from anywhere to turn on or off
the switch of the socket.
This is proposed to design as a home
automation product of Orange.
Initially, this is designed as a Wi-Fi module
for the standard socket.
Basic Operation - 01
The socket is connected to a mobile
device and using a mobile app, all the WiFi connections available to the socket is
scanned.
Basic Operation - 02
The socket is connected to the desired Wi-Fi
router by the app.
The socket creates a fixed connection between
the router, without the mobile device as long as
the Wi-Fi link is available.

Basic Operation - 03
The router connected to the socket can be
accessed form any where through internet, by a
mobile device or a PC.
Through the Wi-Fi link to the socket from the
router, the remote device can control the switch
of the socket.
