Course Description
This course is a short course in stress reduction through use of Complementary and Alternative
Medicine (CAM). We will explore the use of acupressure, meditation, and aroma therapy, and
how these may be helpful in reducing stress. Basic concepts, techniques, and/or methodologies
of each will be explored using some hands on approaches.
Course Prerequisites
None
Course Objectives
To understand the effects of chronic stress
To understand the basics and benefits of CAM
To learn some basic and specific techniques of meditation and relaxation
To understand the basics and benefits of acupressure and its use in stress reduction
To learn how aroma therapy helps to reduce stress
