AN ACT Relating to: The allocation of $1,605.00 (one thousand six hundred five dollars) from
the Student Events Pool (6272-0200-03) for the attendance of the American Anthropological
Association 2008 Annual Meeting on November 19-23, 2008.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE ASWSUV SENATE:

Sec. 1. Entry Fee $980.00

Sec. 2. Hostel Cost $625.00

STATEMENT OF FACT: Advertisements will read “Co-sponsored by ASWSUV” in 14-point

font or font equal to the average size lettering on the advertisement, for all advertising for
the event(s) as required by ASWSUV By-Laws (260.12).

This will provide members of the Anthropology Club with the ability to attend a valuable
educational opportunity that will broaden their academic and research interests by enhancing
their knowledge of culture. Additionally, they will be exposed to the professional academic
community. Members attending the conference will be paying for their own transportation and
food costs. Students who attend the conference will organize a panel open to all students where
they will share what they learned at the conference.
