Complete guide for Masters

1. First of all you make sure that you have your Passport (valid up to 3 years).
2. Start preparation for IELTS. It takes around a month if you are preparing either yourself or
from any institute. 6.0 (overall) is minimum score. But its good if u score 6.5 or 6.5+
(overall).
3. Start searching your desired field from daad.de

4. Keep these things in your mind while searching your course.

IELTS and GPA requirement.
3.2
Fees of your course (mostly universities are free).
3.3
Beginning (summer or winter).
3.4
Duration (generally 2 years).
3.5
DEADLINE (mostly: 15 jan for summer and 15 july for winter).

Language of instruction (mostly are in English)
5. Get all your documents notarized (photocopy only) from Civic Center at least 5-7 sets. It
depends on number of universities you apply. Documents include:

Matric mark sheet and certificate

Inter mark sheet and certificate
4.3
Graduation transcript, Certificate, Degree and English language certificate (if
available).

IELTS/TOFEL result.
6. Get attested your originals (i.e. your degree and bachelors transcript) from HEC (near
Liaquat Hospital). Its better if you verified your documents before, from your university.
7. Now you can start applying for admission. Most of universities have their online portals and
they all are very easy. If you feel any difficulty in any step you may ask us on this group. Im
sure seniors will definitely guide you.
8. Once you applied in universities you have around 2-4 months to get their response. It
depends on your case and time.
9. Download Deutsch Bank (DB) form from file section of Study & Life in Germany.
10. How to fill DB form (ppt.) is available on same file section, you may refer to it if you have any
problem or may ask us. And send it along with your Passport copy to DB address via DHL.
11. Around 4-8 working days you will get an email from DB that your account has been opened.
12. Once you get that email and admission letter from university, you go to Karachi Consulate with
DB form, Admission letter, Passport copy and fees 20euro which is equal to 2400pkr now a days
for account verification. There is no need for appointment in Karachi consulate (dont know about
Islamabad Consulate) and it is near 2-Talwaar Clifton.

13. Now you transfer your amount to DB account from your current account.
14. Transfer takes 24-48 hours. Again it depends on your bank. If you transfer your amount through
money gram or western union then they transfer within 24 hours but they are expensive.
15. Go for Polio vaccination with your original Passport from any Govt. Hospital in Karachi. Its free.
16. Complete 3 forms for Visa process get them from file section. They are very simple and easy. If
you have any query you may ask us.
17. You will soon receive an email from DB that your amount has been deposited.

18. Now you go for visa interview along with your all original documents including everything
that you have your Passport, NIC, all Degrees and Transcripts, all Visa Process forms,
Motivation Letter, Updated CV, Admission Letter, DB letter (etc) and 2 sets of photocopy of
your ALL documents. There is also a check list of documents in file section for visa interview

19. Take 60euro which is equal to 7200pkr now days.
20. Go to Karachi consulate as early as possible (i.e. before 6am). Because token time is 7am7:20am and again you dont need an appointment (I dont know about Islamabad Consulate
requirements). Generally they take 4 weeks for visa approval.
21. Visa interview starts from 8am. Questions are very simple and easy. Dont get confuse. They
ask :
21.1 Introduction about you and your education?
21.2 Why you selected (name of field)?
21.3 Why you selected only Germany?
21.4 What will you do after Masters? Any relative in Germany or Europe?
21.5 Who sponsors you?
21.6 Your siblings?
21.7 Why you dont you do this course in Pakistan?
22. Now you go for travel insurance starting from the date you expected to fly. I know the
travel agent in Forum on 7th floor. Fees 5000-6000pkr.
23. Book your ticket after you get your Visa. I prefer Turkish Airline.
