What are the advantages of grid floors?

How to resist the punching shear in flat slab?
How reinforced walls are classified?
What is the function of shear wall?
What are the advantages of flat slab?
State the slenderness limits of concrete walls.
What is mean by column head and drop?

PART B
1 Design an interior panel of flat slab with drops for the following data.
Size of panels = 5.5mx5.5m
Live load on column = 5000N/m2
Use M20 & Fe415.
2 Design a single span deep beam suit the following data.
Effective span = 6m
Over all depth = 6m
Width of support =0.6m
Width of beam = 0.4m
Total load on beam including self-weight 400kN/m
Use M 20 and Fe 415.
3 Design a grid floor for the following data
Size of grid floor = 12mx16m
Spacing = 2m
Use M20 and Fe 415.

4 Design the RC wall 3m height, 100mm thickness, and 4m in length

between cross wall. The loads are carry to the wall through a floor at the
top assuming that there are no openings on the wall. Design a RC wall.
Use M20 & Fe415. Factored load on the wall is 600kN/m length.
5. A reinforced concrete deep girder is continuous over span 9m apart from
c/c. it is 4.5m deep, 300mm thick and supports are column 900mm in
width. If the girder supports UDL of 200KN/m including self-wt. Design
necessary steel. Assume M20 and Fe415
