II. Course Title: Administrative Office Management
Pre-Requisite: HR 3

III. Course Description:

This course deals with the study of the different phases of administrative office management
and its vital role in the business organization. It also includes the importance of Administrative
Office Management (AOM) on management, technology, managements decision making and the
need for good planning to job satisfaction and self-actualization. It covers topics like basic concepts
of AOM, managing a diverse workplace, managing administrative services and controlling
administrative services.

IV. Course Objectives:

At the end of the course, the student should be able to:

1. Understand the nature of administrative office management and its role as a sub-system
in the business organization.
2. Appreciate the technological innovations will affect most aspects of office works and
become aware of potential problems.
3. Develop appropriate values.
4. Demonstrate skills in using modern technological innovations.
5. Develop skills in writing office letters.
