Background
I found this internship through a family friend. She passed my resume along to my now boss who
asked me to come in for an interview. I fell in love with the possibility of interning for National Fiber
Technology at this interview and was ecstatic when I was chosen. I selected this internship because I
thought it would be a great opportunity to learn about both supply chain management and textile
merchandising; my major and my minor.

Professional Objectives

To gain knowledge of a fiber productions supply chain


o Resources: co-workers, supervisor
Evidence: I will include an explanation of the companys supply chain. To do
this, I will talk to my supervisor and my co-workers. Im interested in learning
this because I have no previous real world experience in supply chain
management.
o Activities: observe, ask questions, research
To create a system of organization and consistency for future employees in the company
o Resources: co-workers, supervisor, online materials
Evidence: include my organization system. I will help to organize the companys
database as well as create instruction procedures for certain aspects of the
company.
o Activities: research, communicate with co-workers, use Microsoft office
To develop better communication and listening skills
o Resources: co-workers, supervisor
Evidence: include notes Ive taken when talking with co-workers and my
supervisor. I believe that communication is vital to successfully running any
business and I am working to improve my skills in this area during the length of
my internship.
o Activities: communicate daily with supervisor and co-workers, take notes when learning
something new

o Description: Manage post production of fiber i.e. prepping for shipment and shipping to clients

o Internship work days/hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30-4
