1991 BMW E1 Concept

Unveiled at the 1991 Frankfurt Automobile Show, the BMW E1
Concept had a maximum speed of 80 mph, weighed less than
2,000 lbs and used a water-cooled motor. BMW designed this
vehicle specifically for driving in the city, and featured large
spacious windows that provided great visibility. The window glass
was situated without an extreme slope which reduced the solar
heat on the minuscule vehicle. The BMW E1 Concept was quite a
compact car with a very short front and rear overhangs which
improved the overall performance in tight small spaces. The roof
design of the car was also uniquely created to increase inside
volume without creating a body that wasn't too high. More about

BMW HARTGE X6 E71

Backed by more than 36 years of experience, HARTGE is one of
the most extreme BMW tuners. Today's high-performance engines
- many of which have already been almost fully developed at the
factory - call for tuners who can do more than just tweak them
digitally. Indeed, chip tuning - a magic word in this day and age - is
more of a taboo subject at HARTGE. Their latest project is the
BMW HARTGE X6 E71. Although the xDrive35d engine with Twin
turbocharger is already the most powerful in its class, the
specialists from Germany's Saarland region have breathed on the
power plant so it now generates no less than 241 kW (328 hp) at
4400 rpm and a mighty 675 Nm of torque low down at 2000 rpm.
