Theres a movement underway
To make currency fit more today
Only a very long time ago
Did a womans picture show
Martha Washington was the one
Though but little by her was done
Theres one Id prefer to see
Dolly Parton it should be
Im sure that most would agree
Shes better than George to see
My choice, please follow through
Shes beautiful and competent, too
To remove him, we really should
A fuddy-duddy with teeth of wood
A nations image is everything
A better one, Dolly would bring
Youre disrespectful, some may say
But Washington is just so yesterday
His deeds were a long time ago
Who can know if theyre even so?
Some of them, it surely seems
Came from lying Parson Weems
An unstoppable move has begun
Lets put Dolly Parton on the one!
