INSTRUCTIONS TO BOILER OPERATIONS

Operate and maintain boilers carefully.

Cut boilers in and out of service as and when required.

Test all boiler safety devices and check all power house equipment,
controls, air compressor and related pumps.

Log all readings concerning boiler operation from meters, , pressure


gauges, thermometers

Perform maintenance on all power house equipment.

Perform operational maintenance and service on out building rooftop


units.

Clean, repacks & repairs boiler feed pumps, condensate pumps,


condenser pumps, chill & hot water pumps.

Clean and repairs various boiler vessels such as the feed, condensate and
blow down tanks.

Prepare all the above boilers and related equipment for mandated biannual safety inspections and certifications.

Assists service personnel on overhaul and related maintenance

Perform related and incidental work as required.

PRECAUTIONS BEFORE STARTING THE FIRES

Before starting the fires in a boiler, the attendant should


See that there is sufficient water in the boiler and that the gauges are
working freely

Ease safety values, of boiler to allow air to escape

See that the blow off valve is fully closed and tight

See that water is not leaking from any part of the boiler
Note if the pressure gauge pointer is at zero
See that the feed pump is in working order
