Step 1: Find your inspiration
Research and look up different kinds of playing
cards
What method and materials will you use to create
the cards?
What will your inspiration be?
Step 2: Give your inspiration life
Create two thumbnail sketches of possible
designs
Will it be realistic, abstract, or non-objective?
Will another artist inspire you? Will things in your
life inspire you? Will another culture or period of
time inspire you?
What elements will be repeated to create a
oneness throughout the playing cards?
Step 3: Finalize your project size
Size is of your choice
Will they all be the same size, different sizes,
etc?
Step 4: Begin creating your project.
What mediums will you use?
What paper will you use?
Step 6: Matte final design, Fill out Rubric, and answer
reflections
How will you matte your cards?
All together, separately, or individually?
