SA OLIVE AWARDS: CALL FOR ENTRIES

SA Olive invites olive oil producers to enter the 2015 SA Olive Awards. Entries in all categories Delicate,
Medium and Intense close on Thursday 23 July.

A panel of qualified olive oil experts will rate the medal contenders according to their quality, complexity and
balance in terms of aroma and taste during a four-day blind tasting from 11-14 August.

This year marks the 10 anniversary of the prestigious competition which gives recognition to locally-produced
extra virgin olive oils of distinction.

The top olive oils in each category, the Olive Achiever of the Year and recipient of the Mentorship Award will be
announced during a glittering awards ceremony at Ashanti Estate on 3 September. The SA Olive Awards are
generously sponsored by Absa, Alfa Laval, Oliomio TEM and Pieralisi.
