WHEREAS:

On July 16, 2015, senseless acts of violence were perpetrated against

innocent people, in Chattanooga, Tennessee; and

WHEREAS:

The victims and their families deserve our honor, respect, and
remembrance; and

WHEREAS:

The Honorable Barack Obama, President of the United States, has issued
a proclamation ordering that the flag of the United States be flown at halfstaff upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval
stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government throughout
the United States and its territories and possessions until sunset on
Saturday, July 25, 2015.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, MARK DAYTON, Governor of Minnesota, do hereby order that

all United States flags and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings
in the State of Minnesota, from now until sunset, on Saturday,July 25, 2015, as a mark of respect
for the victims of this tragedy.
