SUP Fin Installation

Outdoor Centre

Your SUP will come with a large main fin, and in some cases, two smaller thruster fins. This will walk you
through the quick and easy process of installing the fins. Should you need further clarification you can watch
the video on the SUP Love page of the Swift Outdoor Centre website at swifttouside.com

Start by taking the screw and square

washer off the fin provided. Some screws
require a screwdriver or allen key, others tighten
by hand depending on manufacturer.

Slide the washer down into the slot in

the centre of fin box so it slides along
the track running lengthwise
inside the fin box.

With the curve of the fin toward the back

of the board, insert the end with
the nubs into the centre of the fin
box so it slides along the track and
slide it to toward the back of the board.

Slide the washer toward the bow

so it is at the top of the fin
box and remove the screw.

Push the spine of the fin into the fin

box and centre the fin in the box.

Slide the washer down the fin box

so it lines up underneath the hole in the
fin (you will need to use a pencil or other
thin object to do this) and insert the screw
into the fin and through the washer
below, then tighten.

The thruster fins go into the smaller fittings on either side of the main fin. Some boards come standard with
these fins - they are an add on for others.

Use the key provided to loosen off the small screws on the
side of the openings for the fins so they are not poking into
the fin boxes.

With the fin curl toward the back of the board, press the fin
into the small fin boxes on either side of the main fin.
Once the fins are set in simply tighten the screws
to hold them in place.
