Justification of the selected song

and poem
In selecting the songs and poems for my lesson plans, there are several criterias
which are the simplicity of the activities and the relations of its towards each other, the
moral values that can be practiced after the lesson, the suitability of the activities, and
last but not least, the materials used in lesson.
When talking about the simplicity of the activities, my activity conducted in lesson
plan is simple and it is related to each other for example in lesson plan 1, I have
conducted an action song which has the same topic with the subject taught in my lesson
plan. Same goes to my lesson plan 2 where in my lesson; I had conducted the same
activity which is writing a poem but different type of presentation and styles.
Other than that, in teaching these lessons, I can inculcate moral values among
the pupils which lead to healthy lifestyles. When we teach especially in rural area, we
must look at their lifestyles and background because some pupil may or may not have
the experience to eat certain fruits or any fruits. So this is important for us teacher to
expose to them to how to live in a healthy ways and also develop the interest in keeping
the good habit to eat good foods.
Apart from that too, the activities conducted in my lesson is fun because I have
put the element of Total Physical Response in order to make the pupils to be more
active and proactive and also keep them motivated throughout the lesson. I have also
made the activities varied for example asking the pupils to make different types of
literary works and a little bit off drawing and coloring. This is to make sure that the pupils
are exposed to different types of poetry in a fun way.
Last but least is the material/ teaching aids used in my lesson. In this lesson
plan, I have used the ICT for example the LCD Projector, laptop, and speaker in order
for me to make the pupils to be motivated and active in my class because they can see
and hear what happened around them and they would not feel bored throughout my

lesson. Not only that, I have also provided worksheets for my pupils which is simple but
at the same time it requires a critical thinking and sharpen their visual abilities and
memories. This is to avoid the pupils to feel bored when doing their task if the task is too
easy.
To conclude, it is important for me to look at this matter because I do not want my
students to feel bored and did not receive any important knowledge in my lesson.
