Part II: Reflection

CANDIDATE REFLECTIONS:
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology facilitation and
leadership from completing this field experience?
I created the Weebly. Ineed to read instructions and follow them. Keep track of
changes I did and use toos available. Taking this class was an exciting journey.
It provided me with technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) and
skills to design and develop multimedia and web-based projects. I have even
been implementing what I have learned in my school webpage! (ISTE-NETS-C,
2a) I really enjoyed this class because it helped me facilitate the learning in
my students, differentiating in my lessons, and at the same time my teaching
style. (ISTE-NETS-C, 2b)
During this class, I have designed, developed and evaluate Webquests and
other multimedia environments. I have researched and used other
technologies in class taking into account hardware and software
requirements. (ISTE-NETS-C, 2c, 2g, 3d)

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you
be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs, enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected in Part I. Use the
language of the PSC standards in your answer and reflect on all 3knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)
I need to know how to access the webpage and learn to copy and paste more
effectively, save time. I believe if you want you can, just effort is needed. If it
is frustrating, let it rest for a while and then start over. I will be able to
contribute to the communication and implementation of my shared vision. I
will contribute to implementation of the use of technology in my department.
I struggled with the HTML language and embedding codes, but it was worth it
to fail at the beginning because later on I was able to re-apply what I learned.
(ISTE-NETS-C, 2f) I digitalized my videos online, and I published my voice with
background music for the first time. (ISTE-NETS-C, 3b). I am more aware of
the Universal Design (UD), a brand new term for me, and I am more careful
about copyright and the ethics that this topic implies. (ISTE-NETS-C, 3g, 5b) I
was in Bogot, Colombia when I heard a friend of mine got involved in a
copyright legal issue with another company from England because he copied
some parts and pictures without their permission. I was able to give him some
guidance thanks to the experience I gained in this class.
My final project was challenging. The Webquest demanded several hours of
commitment in order to complete it, but in the end, I was able to put it all
together. It was a challenge for me to think and publish what my TPACK would

be for my own students, and even more to share with other teachers in the
discussion log. (ISTE-NETS-C, 3a) I implemented in my Multimedia Design
project the use of digital content and the adaptive and assistive technologies
to support individual students. (ISTE-NETS-C, 3d, 3e, 3f)

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or
student learning at your school. How can the impact be assessed?
Improve the communication and integrate technology (Weebly is like my
witness) into my teaching practice and to assist other educators in utilizing
technology to improve the teaching and learning process. It prepares you to
model best practices in the use of instructional technologies and to provide
high-quality professional learning experiences for others. This course with Dr.
Grove, not only gave me the opportunity to grow professionally and personally
using technology (ISTE-NETS-C, 2a), but it also helped me understand and be
more sensitive about the use of Assistive Technology (AT) software to help
other students. (ISTE-NETS-C, 6b) In my school, we have several students with
disabilities (SWD) (ISTE-NETS-C, 2e), and the tools I learned how to use in this
class will allow me to engage them and work with them to support their
learning process. (ISTE-NETS-C, 2D)This class has been beneficial in helping
me develop technological skills I did not have before. I will need more practice
with AT for SWD. During the break, I will consider doing more research on that
to have the experience I need for my future projects.
I look forward to continue growing in this program to be a resourceful coach
and help others as well. The use of multimedia in class is now a must, not an
option, and I want to be ready for that. I want to provide support for engaging
lessons not only for all students but also for the SWD. I cannot wait to share
with my team at school what I have learned this summer.
