Welcome back everyone. We them on board with all their

the children were very

We would like to welcome
two new teachers to Team
Quest. Miss Pilgrim will be
teaching in the Green Zone
as the Homebase 22
teacher. Miss Thomas will
be in the Red Zone as the
Homebase 19 teacher. We

Term
3
3 Way Learning
Conferences
These will occur in Week 2,
Wednesday and Thursday
evenings with classes finishing at
2:00pm on these days. The
booking form has been sent out.
This is a great opportunity for the
children to share their learning
with you and their learning goals.
These are student lead
conferences.
Uniform
Please ensure your child is
dressed in full school uniform. It is
important that we keep
expectations high. If your child is
unable to wear uniform, please
send a note to their homebase
teacher. This term school uniform
consists of plain black shoes with
black socks or tights And of
course, the Clearview beanie for
those bitter winter days. Please
see the link to the left for uniform
guidelines.

Homelearning
ART
Art this term will incorporate print
making and Te Reo Maori, looking
at the culture, colours and symbols.
We are very excited about exploring
this topic and sharing it with the
children.
LITERACY
We will be integrating writing into
our Inquiry, beginning with
explanations where children will be
writing a piece based on their topic
MATHEMATICS
Formal Numeracy and strand
instruction will begin week 1.
Groups will be fluid. This means
children may change groups
throughout the term within the
zones, depending on their needs.
This term we are focusing on
fractions, proportions and ratios,
and for strand our focus will be
volume and capacity.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
This term we are continuing to look
at winter sports, before moving into
athletics to prepare for Clearviews
Term 4 athletics day. We will
continue our fitness programmes
throughout the term also.
TE REO
For Te Reo Mori this term, children
will be exposed to a range of
difference vocabulary and topics
through our rotations across the
team. We are looking forward to
incorporating this into our daily
programme also.
