Operating Steps:

NOTE: UV exposed area of film will stay on the PCB unlike Positive resist.
How to use it :
1. Prepare the board: Clean your board. Cut dry film a little larger than your board.
2. Apply the film: This Photoresist sheets have 3 layers, The actual photoresist film is
sandwiched between two clear protective layer, so before you start, you need remove one
protective layer, the easy way is to use two small pieces of packaging tape. Then apply the
middle layer on board.
Method 1: Apply using a laminator. This is the easiest and professional way to do it.
Method 2: Apply using a clothing iron: Starting from a corner and ending to the cross corner,
use your palm to remove all air bubble between film and board with your hands, and after that,
set the iron temperature about 130C (Medium temperature), apply the hot iron down onto the
film and PCB, pressing them both flat and putting them under pressure.
3. Exposure: Place your negative artwork over the rest protective layer. Use a glass to press the
artwork to the board snuggly, then expose to UV light source or under sunlight, The best
exposure time is depends, but you can easy to recognize it: the color of film is changing from
light blue to dark blue. We strongly recommend to use a Bromograph though.
4. Developing: The developer is made by 10grams of sodium carbonate or potassium carbonate
in a liter of water or also with a very mild solution of water and caustic soda. Remove the rest
protective layer on the film so that only the photoresist is left on the board. After 3 minutes take
board out of developer and hold under running water to check, you can always place it back in
the developer if needs more time. Of course needless to say be careful with Caustic soda
solution!
5. Etching: Etch the board with the etchant (It can be anything of your choice there are
many mixtures that can be used, we prefer using H2SO4+H2O2 which is a solution of
Sulphuric acid and Hydrogen peroxide, you can find infos about etchants online)
6. Final cleaning: After the board etched, you can use Acetone to remove the film, you can buy
Acetone from any store where paint is sold, also nail varnish remover would do.
