Rationale:
This training is a pre-requisite before they can apply as staff nurse. The
emphasis of this training is organizational orientation and skills training on
bedside care.
Objectives:
A. General:
At the end of three (3) months, these volunteer nurses will be able to adapt to our
hospital environment by acquiring the required knowledge, attitude, and skills to
function efficiently and effectively.
B. Specific:
To provide incoming nurses orientation of DOH, and PCGH Nursing Divisions
organizational structures, policies and SOPs.
To develop their skills for the effective and efficient performance in the
clinical areas.
To strengthen positive values related to the professionalism in nursing
