Mr. Jared Clark,
Lowes is a valued local business and community leader, and I am writing to ask for your
consideration in becoming a community partner with Lois Craig Elementary School to support its
21st Century Learning Grant before and after school program.
Lois Craig Elementary School is located near Cheyenne and Civic Center and part of the schools
mission is to actively promote relationships with community businesses for one reason aloneto
improve the quality of education in our school community and district. The more business and
education work together, the better each of our needs becomes known, and the better we can
invest in the future of our community and students. A community partnership between Lowes
(Craig Rd) and Lois Craig Elementary School would be a valuable contribution to that mission of
community excellence.
Your participation as a valued community partner would help ensure that the Lois Craig students
and the entire school community would receive necessary academic and enrichment services
through our before and after school program; services which are needed to support and sustain
social and academic growth. Lois Craig is requesting that a representative of Lowes provide
instructional/ hands on types of classes to students participating in the before and after school
program. The representative may introduce students to various ways to use manipulatives and
building sets to build models, diagrams, or other structures. We anticipate reaching 230 of our
students and families through this before and after school program. It is part of a collaborative
effort by Lois Craig Elementary School and the 21 st Century Learning Grant to help all children
reach their full potential through family-school partnerships.
