Content (Describe in a paragraph):
Learners will learn how to operate a Promethean Board by turning it on, checking
to make sure it was connected properly by the technology staff, and to open the
ActivInspire software on the connected Desktop which is required to use the
Promethean Board. Learners will learn how to create a new flipchart and all of the
basic operations in doing so. Learners will learn how to access websites such as
PrometheanPlanet.com and how to search for already made flipcharts. Learners
will learn how to modify downloaded flipcharts to best align with their students
needs. Allotted in the time frame of this class will be a work session for
teachers/learners to create resources to use in their classrooms.
List the objectives for this lesson:
The learner will be able to use ActivInspire to create flipcharts that encourage
students to experience learning through discourse. Teachers, staff, and
administration will be guided through the steps of all the features of ActivInspire
and the Promethean Board with a 1:1 ratio of technology to person.

This lesson will be taught with a 1:1 ratio of learner to technology. Each learner will
have their own device to use, in order to perform the tasks taught by the
instructor. The instructor will model first, then perform the task at the same time
as the learner. Learners will be guided to perform the tasks in groups with other
learners, then independently. By modeling, then providing structure through the
learning learners are more likely to be able to perform the task independently.

Additional materials include a Promethean Board. The Promethean Board will be
used to present tutorials that have been created by the presenters.
Evaluation Strategies:
In order to best evaluate the class, I will give a pre- and post-survey. This survey
will show me what the learner has learned, and if the class was effective or not.
