A Christmas Carol
Sumary Composition
The story begins with Ebenezer Scroobe which is an excellent men of
business in London, and before had business with his friend and
partner, Jacob Marley, who was died. Scroobe was stingy and greedy
person who only cared about his work. He did not want to anyone not
even his nephew Fred and his employee Bob Cratchit.
On Christmas Eve he received a visit from the spirit of his late friend
Jacob, who announces his future and the visit of three ghosts of
Christmas.
First it is visited by the ghost of the past that reminds him of his
childhood and youth full of sadness, before being a greedy person.
After he is visited by the ghost of present that shows your current life
as people celebrate Christmas without their presence, too shows the
poverty of Bob Cratchit and the illness of his son Tim. Also shows two
children tragically origin: the ignorance and need.
At midnight appeared the ghost of the future which is mute and
shows things very terrifying, as the death of Tim, the fate of greedy
people and their friends, their home being ransacked by the poor, and
his tomb appears. All this made meditate to Scroobe saying at the
spirit that this not happen. Scrooge awakens from his bed and he
realizes that only it was a dream, he feels happy and decides to be a
good person.
Scrooge finally decides to celebrate Christmas and paid to a child to
buy a turkey and sent it to Bob Cratchit's house without giving details.
He went out into the street to greet and say Merry Christmas to
people, he was to the home of his nephew Fred to celebrate. Then
Scrooge pretends to scold her Employ Bob and increases his salary,
he decides to help his family and the illness of his son Tim who ends
the story by saying: "God bless us, every one."
