This is an assignment that will require you to tap into your creative side; you will be

writing a story about your life in one of the Hindu castes.

You may choose any caste:

 Brahman
 Kshatriyas
 Vaisyas
 Sudras
 Untouchables

After deciding what caste system you are destined to be a member of, you will do
background research on what life is like for someone of that caste.

Next, you are going to write a 1st person autobiography on what your life is like.
Information you might want to include is as follows:

 Your age (you can be whatever age you want)

 Male/female
 Job
 Family life
 What you do in your free time (if you have any)?
 Hobbies
 Are you happy or sad?
 How do you live your life in regard to karma?
 Where do you live?
 Future life goals

Once again, this is a creative writing assignment where you are acting as though you are
someone else. Therefore, you do not need to include citations or a bibliography. The
research you do is only for background information.

Your essay should be written in your own words---- IT SHOULD NOT SOUND LIKE IT
IS STRAIGHT FROM AN INTERNET SITE OR YOUR GRADE WILL BE
SEVERELY AFFECTED!!!

Likewise, it does not have to be written in the “5-paragraph essay format.”

How long must this be you ask? 1 page (typed, 12 font and double-spaced). Not too bad,
aye?
