Activities:
Set induction
1) Show modelling clay to pupils.
2) Ask pupils to guess the letters : o, g
3) Ask pupils to say and write small letter o and g in the air.
Presentation
1) Show picture card and word card (mop) to pupils.
2) Pupils read and spell words shown.
3) Repeat step 1 and step 2 with the following picture cards and
word cards.: log, pot, bag, peg, top.
4) Pupils read and match words based on pictures cards shown.
5) Pupils read and write words.
Practice
1) Pair work :
Pupil A listens and write friends back (Pupil B).
Pupil B will say out words written by Pupil A.
2) Teacher checks pupils spelling.
Production
1) Distribute worksheet to pupils: Fill in the blanks with o or
g.

2) Pupils do exercises given.


3) Go through the answers and get the pupils to do corrections
(if any) in their exercise books.
4) Writing exercise.
