SIGNS & SYMPTOMS

Pain in chest
Difficulty in breathing
Cyanosis
Frothy, blood stained liquid
coughed up
Sucking sound with breathing
Shock

FIRST AID
Immediately cover and seal any wounds
to the chest wall
Place the casualty in most comfortable
position which is half sitting, with
head, shoulder and body turned
towards injured side
Support the limb on the injured side in
an elevation sling
If casualty becomes unconscious place
him in recovery position.
