Oversee the Division of Students Affairs (which includes Residential
Life, Student Engagement, Athletics, Career Development, the
Chaplain, Intercultural Affairs, Health, and Counseling Services)
Manage the student conduct process
Provide support and referrals for students of concern

Promote a living and learning environment dedicated to
our community principles of respect, communication,
inclusion, service and social justice.
Educate students about issues of power and privilege
Provide support and resources for international students
NOTE: This is a new office- the goals and mission will
continue to grow and develop over the next year.
Primary functions:
Help students with major exploration, student employment,
graduate school, and job/internship searching
Guide students through preparing their resumes, cover letters,
and social media presence (such as LinkedIn)

Advise Programming Board and develop social programming, such as GIG
and Gala
Manage the First Year Experience program (orientation & the FYE course)

Community-Based Learning
(CBL)

Primary functions:
Help students connect academic work with engagement in the
community
Educate students on issues of social justice and civic engagement
Work with community partners to establish and support volunteer
opportunities for students
Work with individuals and clubs seeking opportunities to get
involved in community-based work

Health staff include Jeannette Hadfield (director), Linda Ryan, Pegg Malfa,
Eileen May, and Tammi Davis (more staff being hired)
Counseling staff include Monica Neel, Ray Green, and Lauren Greenberg
Primary functions:
Provide comprehensive medical care in an outpatient facility, offering
care for acute and stable chronic illnesses, womens health care,
preventative health care, and health education
Offer short-term counseling and programming to educate around mental
health
Advise the Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC), which can assist
with programming focused on health and wellness
Works with Residential Life to assess medical housing accommodation
requests.

Primary functions:
Lead Gouchers athletics teams, which compete in the Landmark Conference
Provide health and fitness resources for the Goucher community (include
cardio and strength conditioning rooms)
Oversee the Outdoor Equipment Office (camping and hiking equipment)

Gophers for Goucher, Phonathon, and the Senior
Class Campaign

skills as well as crisis management
On-call during school year from 7 p.m.-2 a.m.
Meet to talk about academic pressures,
relationship issues, social dilemmas, anxiety,
stress, experiences with trauma, or anything
else you need.
