Artifact Eleven: My Weebly Teacher Website (http://mitcheg.weebly.

Using technology as a tool to enhance teaching and communicate ideas educators need to
keep students, parents, colleagues and administrators informed of what is happening in their
classroom academically and culturally. Using technology effectively ensures that everyone is
informed of the current state of the class. This Weebly is just such a tool to facilitate this
dialogue. It effectively showcases study guides, rubric and unit objectives as well as allows
everyone to have a current calendar, provides reminders for future events and is able to
communicate key information about your classroom community. The professional standards for
this section are found in InTASC Standard #7: Planning for Instruction- 7(o) The teacher values

Conclusion
The artifact section of my portfolio has provided the reader with an opportunity to gain a
better understanding of my pedagogical practices. It has showcased my ability to set objectives,
plan, implement and evaluate students on what they have learned. It has demonstrated my ability
to be a critical thinker who values the process of critical inquiry and fosters it in the students I
work with. A key theme that is woven throughout my pedagogy is the importance of having a
Growth Mindset which allows learners to take an active role in their learning and celebrate the
setbacks as well as accomplishments. This section has also highlighted the influence some
theorists have had on my teaching practices. By the end of this section the reader should have a
clear understanding of who I am as an educator.
