Course Description:
This course is designed to give students the opportunity to learn fitness concepts and
conditioning techniques used for obtaining optimal physical fitness. Students will benefit
from comprehensive cardio respiratory endurance activities. Students will learn the basic
fundamentals of team sports, aerobic training, and overall fitness training and
conditioning. Course includes both lecture and activity sessions. Students will be
empowered to make wise choices, meet challenges, and develop positive behaviors in
fitness, wellness, and movement activity for a lifetime.

Classroom Rules & Expectations:

1. Come to class on time. Attendance is not optional it is mandatory at Global
Youth. See handbook for attendance policy. Standing outside the door and rushing
in after the bell has begun to ring will constitute a tardy. You must be INDSIDE
the door when it begins to ring to be counted on time.
2. Attend to personal needs before coming to class. During the first 5 minutes of
class everyone is to change into proper gym attire:
a. Gym Shorts/ Sweat Pants
b. T-Shirt
c. Sneakers
3. Bring gym clothes to class everyday unless you have been given special
permission.
4. Begin the warm-up exercises as a class
5. Participate. Participation is not optional
6. Use polite speech and body language. Unkind teasing and impolite behavior is
unacceptable. Respect one another and your teacher at all times.

45%- Participation (5 points per day)
45%- Dress appropriately (5 points per day PARTIAL CREDIT WILL NOT BE
GIVEN)
