Grades are earned by each learner, and I will routinely give you progress
reports to let you
know exactly where you are in your pursuit of academic excellence or
you may access the grade book at any time through StudentVue.
Students with a 69% or lower will be sent home with a list of missing
assignments that parents must sign. These students must attend
tutoring before or after school until their score improves.
I will follow the grading scale below to determine your earned grade in
this class:

Make-up Assignments
All assignments and notes can be found at our class website
(www.FrazierEnglish.Weebly.com). I can also e-mail copies of this work
upon request. Hard copies of assignments and notes can be found on
the wall with the cabinets. Students should check the absent calendar
for what they missed. Students can also come in before school, after
school, or during lunch to receive help for any assignments they missed.
Students are responsible for making up any notes they missed.
Late, Incomplete, or Missing Assignments:
Students have two weeks from an assignments due date to turn it in for
full credit. After two weeks the assignment will remain a zero in the
grade book. Students can come make up late work before school, after
school, or during lunch. Students can also request extensions on major
assignments if they discuss doing so with me beforehand.

There will be a number of summative assessments administered each

semester in Freshman English. Each student should earn a 60% or higher
on these assessments. If a student does not successfully meet 60% or
higher, he or she will be allowed to come in during tutoring for extra
support and then re-write or re-take the performance assessment. Any
student who does not meet these criteria will need to retake Freshman
English in order to graduate from high school. This is often accomplished
through summer school course work.
Classroom Supplies:
Single-subject, spiral notebook (college ruled), internet access outside of
the school
Contact Information
Parents and students should feel free to contact me anytime with
questions or concerns. The easiest way to reach me is by e-mail. Be sure
to check the class website and ParentVue regularly. Weekly assignments
should be entered into the gradebook by the end of each week. Major
assignments should be entered after two weeks.
REMIND Messaging
I encourage each student and parent to join the class Remind messaging
service that will allow me to send important messages to students and
parents (if opted in) via text messaging or email. The code to gain
access to the Remind messaging system text @missfrazie to 81010 or
send an e-mail to missfrazie@mail.remind.com.
