STATEMENT
8/6/15
County Supervisor Dianne Jacob reacts to reports that SDG&E will seek state approval
to bill ratepayers about $367 million for costs tied to the regions catastrophic 2007
wildfires:
SDG&Es on-going effort to stick ratepayers with the cost of wildfires it caused is
outrageous. Its especially offensive to those who lost their homes and even loved ones
in the 2007 firestorms and are now being asked to help pay for the utility companys
mistakes. My hope is that state regulators stand up for San Diego County residents and
reject SDG&Es proposal.
