THEORY X BELIEVES EMPLOYEES
People have an inherent dislike for work
and will avoid it whenever possible
People must be controlled, directed, or
threatened with punishment
People prefer to be directed, do not
want responsibility, and have little or no
ambition.
People seek security above all else.

THEORY X
In the organization it tend to be top
heavy with manager & supervisors
which required at every time to
control employees

THEORY Y
THEORY Y BELIEVES EMPLOYEES
Take responsibility and are motivated
to fulfill the goals they are given
Seek and accept responsibility and
do not need much direction
Consider work as a natural part of life
and solve work problems
imaginatively

THEORY Y
In the organization, people at lower
levels are involved in decision
making and have more
responsibilities

THEORY Z
THEORY Z BELIEVES EMPLOYEES
People are a far too valuable resource to
be lost when the economy has a downturn
Employees never give people a reason to
distrust you. Loyalty is expected from all
employees
Everyone gets involved in the decisiontaking process as part of their
commitment to the organization

THEORY Z
Organizational success is viewed as
the result of team effort, so it is
illogical to reward individuals

I choose theory y because:
Employees are given an
opportunities to develop themselves
Employees work without pressure
Employees can do work by their own
way
Employees are given opportunities to
show their talent
