Homework:
Student Expectations:
15 minutes of reading each night and completing an entry on the
reading log (RAZ KIDS, library book, newspaper, magazine, comic book,
etc).
One math sheet, one writing activity (Words Their Way, paragraph,
journal entry, etc).
One Portuguese sheet.
Return zippered book bag on Friday only with completed homework
inside.
Return planner/agenda daily.
Complete with effort and care.

Parent Expectations:
Encourage your child to complete homework in the same place, at the
same time, Monday through Thursday.
Encourage student to write a note on homework if they didnt
understand.
Listen to your child read in any language.
We understand the importance of a childs education and feel that after six
hours of instruction and apprximately 20-30 minutes of homework, children
should be children and have ample opportunities to play, explore hobbies

You Should Know:


For

a student to be dismissed before the end of the school day,


please notify Aline es@panamerican.com.br and she will notify the
teacher AND give an exit slip.

Children

who require alternative food for lunch must have the


permission of the Principal and a medical note from a doctor.

If

your child requires prescription medication, the prescription and


medication must be given to the nurse by an adult.

Grading

System: A-above grade level; B-at grade level; C-below


grade level.

Some extras:

Correct uniform and closed toed shoes is a


requirement including school regulation jackets.

Teeth brushing is each students responsibility


following their lunch time. (Toothbrushes are to be
taken home each day.)

Please, be responsible about returning library


materials.

Please name all personal belongings.

Birthday celebrations are to be kept simple, cupcakes


& juice box only for both classes at snack time. No
invitations, decorations, balloons, etc for snacktime
celebrations.

Please refrain from sending birthday invitations to


school.

What support do we want to


see from parents?
Be

at school on time every day-8:00 in the


class (doors close at 8:15).

Think

carefully before taking your child out


of school early and for vacations (you need
permission from the Principal).
