Rising 4th Grade Summer Reading Projects

1. Letter
Write a letter from the perspective of one character to another character.
2. Advertisement
Design an advertisement poster for your book. Include images that will interest your
readers. In purchasing the book. Be sure to include two paragraphs that tell about
the characters and another that gives plot details to interest readers without giving
away the ending.
3. Create a Test
Make up a test for your book. Include 5 true/false questions, 5 multiple choice
questions, and 2 open ended responses. Make sure you add the answer key with the
test.
4. Story Arc PowerPoint
Create a PowerPoint that includes the elements on a story arc, introduction, rising
action, climax, falling action, and resolution. Include images.
5. Brochure
Create a brochure that includes the elements of a story. Summarize your favorite
part and explain why you believe other students would enjoy reading this book.
