Take a Bite out of Summer

Enjoy the fresh fruits and veggies that summer has to offer by
shopping at the Keene Farmers Market. The market is located
in downtown Keene off of Gilbo Ave (behind Margaritas) every
Tuesday and Saturday (May-October) from 9am-1pm.
Your SNAP dollar goes further at the Farmers Market with the Double Up Veggie
Bucks program. Through this program, the market will match the first $10 of your
food stamp purchase. That means for $10 from your EBT cards balance, you will
receive $20 worth of tokens to spend on fresh food or plants to start a garden.
If you like to garden, be part of the Gleaning Program that harvests and rescues
produce that would otherwise go to waste at local farms and community garden
plots. Last year the Gleaning Program collected 34,371 pounds of produce grown in
Cheshire County. Want to help provide more fresh summer produce to the
Community Kitchen? Sign up today by contacting the Gleaning Program
coordinator Sarah Harpster at tckgleaner@gmail.com.
