Federalist Society to Host Expert Panel on Chargers Stadium Issue

San Diego (August 12, 2015) The San Diego Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society is
hosting a panel discussion focusing on the legal and policy issues facing the Chargers stadium
issue on Wednesday, August 12 at 6:30 p.m., at McGregors Grill & Ale House in Mission
Valley.
Confirmed speakers for the paneltitled The Chargers Stadium Dilemmainclude Cory
Briggs, Bob Gaglione, Tony Manolatos, Richard Rider, and Dan Sileo. The event is timed after
the City of San Diego is scheduled to release the first draft of its Environmental Impact Report
on August 10, and the NFL owners meet to discuss the issue on August 11.
The Federalist Society is pleased to offer a platform for experts to discuss these important legal
and policy issues, said chapter president Ryan T. Darby. The San Diego community has a lot
of questions, and this panel will offer some answers.
Expected topics include CEQA compliance, taxpayer benefits, and the ramifications of the
Environmental Impact Report draft and NFL owners meeting.
"The new stadium for the San Diego Chargers has dominated the local news
this summer and may be the sports story of the year in America's Finest
City, said attorney Bob Gaglione. This program features speakers who are
involved in the legal, municipal and tax aspects of this developing news who
will offer differing perspectives on these issues. This will undoubtedly be an
interesting and lively discussion!"
The doors open at 6 p.m., and the panel discussion will commence at 6:30 p.m. McGregors is
located at 10475 San Diego Mission Road, San Diego, California 92108. Attendees must be at
least 21 years old to attend this program at McGregors.
