    Between 1947 and 1950, British painter Patrick Heron created fourteen portraits of T.S. Eliot, which were recently exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in London. Dr. Nuzhat Bukhari's lecture explores the implications of these portraits for Eliot scholarship. One of Heron's paintings of Eliot will be on display during the lecture, with the others shown on screen.     Speaker Dr Nuzhat Bukhari (St Edmund Hall, Oxford)

    Between 1947 and 1950, Patrick Heron, one of the greatest British painters of the
    Twentieth Century made fourteen portraits of TS Eliot. Nuzhat Bukharis lecture explores
    the implications of these portraits (recently exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery,
    London) for Eliot scholarship. One of the paintings (permanently housed at Kent University)
    will be present during the lecture. The others will be shown on screen.
