There are several things we could do to protect the environment.

computer for 25 minutes?
To reduce pollution, we might/could use more our bicycles rather than our cars.
With use native plants in your yard, you could save energy with less mowing.
We might save more water if we wash our cars with a bucket and not with a hose.
You could save gasoline and time if you decide to carpool.
Industries and businesses would consider environmental factors when producing
goods or services.
If we avoid throwing garbage on the streets, we could prevent streets from
flooding.
The major would implement some actions to make our city more environmentally
friendly.

Exercise 2. Composition
Write a composition about the problems that you see in your city about
environmental conditions. Propose solutions to these problems. Write at
least 100 words.

relacionados con las condiciones del medio ambiente. Propn algunas
soluciones para esos problemas. Escribe al menos 100 palabras.

In my town there are two very big problems, pollution of drainage leading to serious
flooding, and large potholes in many major streets that do not allow good traffic
flow.
The first problem could be solved if the authorities give better maintenance to the
drainage system of the city. Another possible solution is in our hands, if we stop
throw trash on the street the sewers might stop get stuck and the water could flow
better.
The second problem could be solved if the authorities are disposed to fix the
streets and cover all the potholes on them. Another possible solution is that drivers
become aware and respect speed limits that way the streets might stop deteriorate.
