WHO ARE WE?


People who make church meaningful for children

Believe in stepping up/volunteering/sharing our time energy, wisdom

WHAT DO WE DO?
Build community
Make learning fun
Encourage questioning
Educate
Provide kids with a trusting, loving space
Teaching sharing and compassion
Guide students through curriculum and life experiences
Planting seeds
Getting children to think, talk
Making church a place you want to come to; to learn, feel safe, build friendships and eat
cookies at coffee hour.
WHY DOES IT MATTER?
Children need a spiritual home
Inclusivity/Inclusiveness
Teaching respect, tolerance and understanding
Exposure to positive messages about life
Exposure to understanding of other world religious traditions
Teach why religion is important to some
Be part of a spiritual community
Be a role model for the kids
Religious exposure
Introduce Unitarian Universalism
Build a value system
Because children are the future
