Our staff is continuing to further embed our schools professional learning journey during 2015. The
central practices underpinning this journey include an intense focus on targeted learning, collaboration
amongst teachers at each level, as well as the close tracking of students to ensure their successful progression.
Our school operates with professional learning teams, whose planning meetings now exclusively focus on four
critical questions:
This year we are exploring approaches in the areas of Mathematics, Personalised Learning, Inquiry
Based Learning and consolidating our Oral Language Continuum. We will have four trained staff in the Nadia
Walker approach to teaching Mathematics by the end of term 3. Our focus is transforming many of our
practices across the school, and this year will provide us with valuable time to continue this important work.

On Wednesday the 12th of August 4, 5 & 6 girls played football at Boneo Primary School. With confidence and
strength we played against Rosebud Sharks, all of the girls played tough and went on strong and even though
we lost we were proud. Our next game against Fatima was tough and we lost but made new friends along
the way. Next we played Sorrento, at half time we swapped positions, playing tough and kicking goals, we
were in the lead but at full time Sorrento had two more goals than we did. Our last match was against St
Josephs, tackling their way to victory. St Josephs ended up winning the day. Even though we lost all of our
games we ended up leaving with smiles on our faces.
Thank you to Miss Withers and Mr King and to all of the parents who stayed to watch our games.
