Abstract
This training report consist details of key aspects of architectural drawings that are to be
observed before finalizing the structural configuration model is presented. A detailed
procedure for modeling the physical structure into a three dimensional space frame is
demonstrated. The various loads and load combinations as per Indian Standard codes are
described in detail. The preliminary proportions of structural members are arrived based on
approximate analysis. Three dimensional structural model analysis and design using staad pro
v8ic software is described in detail. The member sizes are revised based on the actual
analysis requirements. With the revised structural member sizes final analysis and design is
carried out. Finally the quantities arrived from the design are tabulated.
