    Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born in 570 CE in Mecca. He faced hostility from Meccans after beginning to preach Islam openly in 613 CE. Many early Muslims migrated to Abyssinia for refuge. In 622 CE, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) made the Hijra, or migration, to Medina where he established the first Islamic community and state. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) conquered Mecca in 630 CE and performed his final Hajj in 632 CE before passing away in Medina later that year
