Courage during Ramadan

Connecting links with the family and the wider world are
affi rmed and extended

Throughout the month of Ramadan the children focused on Quran, Prayer
and being thankful for all of our blessings. All of friends enjoyed this so T.
Bushra and T. Natasha planned a special outing to the mosque to extend the
childrens interest. At the Mosque the children prayed with the ladies, paid
charity then once it was quieter we prayed again together before reciting
some Quran.

Zaina you have been absent since youre before school checkup, so we were very pleased when you arrived just in time to
join us! The Islamic prayer has 12 different full body motions
which involve balance and co-ordination to perform in sequence
while reciting the prayer. We were very proud of you Zaina as
you performed all 12 motions in sequence in your beautiful
Abiya and Hijab you bought from home. Juju and Baraas
mother joined us as we walked to the bus stop, helping with our
younger friends by reminding them, stop at roads. When we
were walking from the bus stop to the Mosque Kamila and
Khalids mother and grandmother greeted us with baby Amen,
they had come to support their children and pray alongside
them.

Practicing Prayer at school

Zaina you displayed great courage as our outing required a lot

of walking, taking a public bus, and praying in front and with 50+
strangers. By wearing your special Abiya and Hijab, praying like
your mother, father and Muslim teachers as well as attending
the Mosque you are strengthening connections between family,
school and your wider community!
We will continue to support the positive learning disposition of
courage, while extending connections you have made through
having an Eid party where you will have the opportunity to
perform Quran. This will follow up on your interest and be a
lovely way to celebrate our hard work during Ramadan.
