Protesters paint graffiti on gate of PNoy's QC

home, clash with cops

Around 100 protesters suddenly converged outside the Times Street home, which
surprised
On Saturday, November 29, activists converged outside the house of President Benigno Aquino III
along Times Street in Quezon City.
No member of the Aquino family was at home at the time of the incident.
According to a report by dzMM correspondent Dennis Datu, about 100 activists belonging to
Manilakbayan converged outside the Aquino home at around 9:00 a.m. that day, catching three cops
deployed to the area off guard.
The protesters managed to paint graffiti on the gate and driveway of Aquino's home and called for
the President's ouster. The graffiti on the gate read: "Patalsikin si Noy!"
The protesters likewise called for justice for human rights abuses in Mindanao.
Policemen arrived on the scene sometime around 10:30 a.m., just as militants were reportedly about
to leave the area.
The militants reportedly threw stones, pieces of wood and paint at the policemen.
At least 12 cops were injured in the incident. One of them was rushed to the hospital after being hit
on the head with a rock.
But according to the protesters, the policemen initiated the attack. They said a police officer hit a
demonstrator as they were dispersing.
Militant leader Antonio Flores, secretary general of the Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP),
has been taken into custody by the police following the incident.
Col. Pedro Sanchez, chief of the Quezon City police station 2, said they plan to file charges of
vandalism and illegal assembly against the protesters.
Meanwhile, Times Street was closed to traffic following the clash.

Nakakahiya talaga.
Kahit anong gawin nating pilit maging disciplinado sa araw-araw, karamihan ng Pilipino walang disiplina
kaya tayo nahihirapan sa sariling bansa natin.
