Field day on Gobhi-Sarson (GSC-6) on 26-2-10 at

Mohablipur
Krishi Vigyan Kendra organised a field day on Gobhi-Sarson
under the Project Front line Demonstrations At Mohablipur on
26-2-10.

Dr. Bal (Plant Pathologist)

We organised a field day on gobhi-sarson (GSC-6) at the


field of Sh. Sukhjinder Singh’s field. Framer applied fertilisers
according to the soil testing which we analised in our soil and
water testing lab. While inaugurating the function Dr. Bhatt
emphasised on the use of the fertilisers based on the soil
testing. Secondly, he popularise Sunflower hybrid PSH-569 by
selecting the farmers for these demonstrations.

Dr. Bal shares some of the important tips for the timely
management of the insect-pest attack in gobhi-sarson and
recommend the farmers to use thiodan against sucking pests.

Feed back from the farmers:

1. Farmers demanding that these demonstrations should be


carried out on an area of 4 kanals instead of 1 acre.
2. Framers demanding for the training on piggery and
muskmelon cultivartion.
3. Farm women demanding for the training on the
preservation techniques.
At last, Shukhjinder singh thanks the participated farmers on
this event and this field day was also covered by teh Danik
jagran.
